Broadford Hotel for sale

The Broadford Hotel on the Isle of Skye, off the West coast of Scotland, is up for sale.

The property, which is thought to have been originally established as a Drovers inn in 1611, is believed to be one of the oldest continually operational inns in Scotland.

Today it features 11 letting bedrooms, a lounge bar and bistro area, a reception lounge, dining room and a public bar located in its garden grounds. Further planning consent has been granted to allow for the extension of the hotel, which would deliver an additional 17 bedrooms.

Alistair Letham, director at selling agents Colliers International, told Hotel Owner: “The success of the recent refurbishment and renovation work to the Broadford Hotel is reflected in the level of business that has been created and is now well established.

“Plans prepared for the extension could provide an exciting opportunity for any new owner who sees this established hotel not only as an existing core business but a development opportunity.”

The interior of the property is fully modernised thanks to various refurbishment plans completed in the past few years, while the exterior has been maintained in the Scottish style.

Offers are being invited in the region of £1.05 million for the property.
