Eatery in Devon looking for new owners

A café in Devon has been put up for sale, with the premises said to be suitable for a number of different business uses.

The Froot Loop café is located in the centre of Bideford. The site includes the café as well as a garden and three bedrooms on the floor above for owners’ accommodation.

The North Devon Journal reports: “Though the building is currently used as a café, the property is considered suitable for a sandwich bar or a take-away, if desired. Froot Loop enjoys a popular location in Mill Street, which connects Bridgeland Street and the town’s high street.”

The current owners bought the business back in August 2013. In the intervening 11 months they have made many improvements including redecorating the site and equipping it with new kitchen appliances and furniture. The garden area has also been renovated; it now has a decked area along with a sofa and chairs.

Meanwhile, the living quarters include a hallway, kitchen, lounge, bathroom and three bedrooms. The entire leasehold property is on the market with JD Commercial for £32,500.

James Doble, director of JD Commercial, commented: “New owners may wish to carry on with the same trading style or diversify the business to suit their trading style, such as a sandwich bar, take-away or restaurant.

“It is when you reach the rear of the premises that you find something most unexpected, a rear garden that extends as far as you can see, giving the perfect spot for a relaxing coffee, sandwich or lunch.”
