Freeholds to four Ramada hotels up for sale

Ramada Hotels has put the freeholds of four of its prime hotels on the market, with anticipation high that there will be a significant amount of interest.

The four hotels that have been put up for sale are the Birmingham Solihull, Farnham, Guilford/Leatherhead and Hemel Hempstead branches. According to BigHospitality.co.uk, the management of the four hotels was taken over in May last year by BDL Management, which also took on five further Ramada hotels.

The four premises that are on the market range in size from the 87-bedroomed Guilford/Leatherhead hotel, which benefits from its close proximity to the M25, to the 145-bedroomed Solihull branch, parts of which dates back to the 16th century and is Grade II listed.

The sale is being managed by Christie & Co. The company's director of corporate hotels, Jeremy Jones, said that the four hotels had the potential to be purchased all together or as individual lots, and they were expecting interest to be extremely high.

"The four prominently-located hotels benefit from an excellent mix of overnight and weekend guests, and daily commercial, leisure and corporate business," he said. "The hotels are being offered freehold and we are anticipating a great deal of interest in them either as a group, in part or on a stand-alone basis."
