A craft shop in Grimsby is up for sale after its owner has decided that she would like to free up time to be a foster parent.
Lynn Pettitt is selling Grimsby Crafts, in Brocklesby Road, for £63,000. The price includes all of the shop's stock, as well as the building its housed in, a computer, furniture and a large workshop.
Speaking to the Grimsby Telegraph, Ms Pettitt explained that she was to foster and so is “looking for a job that would fit more easily around that … it would not be possible for me to run a business at the same time.”
She hopes that a buyer will be found in the next few weeks and suggested that the ideal purchaser will be “a people person”.
“We have some lovely customers and it'd be nice to have someone sociable to continue the shop,” she added. “I hope the person has a love for crafts and would want to keep the business as it is.”
The announcement of the sale comes as almost half (49 per cent) of businesses in the Yorkshire and Humber area are planning to invest in their business over the course of 2015 in response to forecasts of growth in the country's economy.
The figures were revealed by research from the Close Brothers Business Barometer, which also showed that 31 per cent of businesses in the region believe that they will expand over the course of this year.
