Herefordshire pub listed with estate agents

A pub in Ross-on-Wye has joined the growing list of local drinking establishments being put up for sale.

The New Inn at St Owens Cross in Herefordshire has been placed on the market with the estate agent Sidney Phillips, which is inviting offers in the region of £365,000. The 16th century watering hole also includes two en-suite bedrooms that can be let out, used as a bed and breakfast, or lived in by the new owner or landlord.

The site also has a rear garden and car park facilities.

Sidney Phillips, which is currently handling the proposed sales of other pubs in the county, such as the Saracens Head in Hereford, describes the New Inn as one of the best examples of a character 16th century inn, the Hereford Times reports.

The estate agent said: "While the property holds a very rural position, it benefits from excellent communication links and is ideally positioned to be developed as a destination pub.

"The two bars are of exceptional quality, there are excellent catering facilities and two or three letting bedroom. There are two very large four-poster rooms with en-suite facilities and a third room which currently has no bathroom, but is extremely large and has ample space for the creation of en-suite facilities."

The freehold property comes complete with the fixtures and fittings.
