The Holly Bush pub in West Oxford has been put on the market by its brewery owner, Greene King.
Located in Bridge Street, Osney Island, the business operates as a pub and a bed and breakfast and has a licence in place.
Simon Longbottom, managing director for Greene King Pub Partners, commented on the decision to sell when speaking to the Oxford Mail: "After an extensive review, we have made the difficult decision that The Holly Bush no longer fits in with our core estate and we have put it on the market, as a freehold pub with the licence included. The pub is currently open and trading as usual."
There is no price available for the business, which is being marketed for sale by Fleurets, but the sellers are accepting offers.
Residents have seen a number of other pub closures in recent years and are keen for The Holly Bush to be kept in operation as such when it changes hands. Greene King already disposed of its other pub, The George Inn, in the same area back in May 2011 and the business underwent a change of purpose with a hi-fi retailer opening up in the space.
