Italian restaurant goes on the market

An Italian restaurant in Oxfordshire is up for sale under a year after its latest owner refurbished the premises.

Ristorante Reno is situated just off the B481 in Peppard Common. The sale is for the leasehold, which is £110,000. Annual rent on the property is £35,000.

Formerly known as the Dog Inn and Ruchetta, the Grade II listed property was taken over by Montorro Reno in February, as reported by the Henley Standard.

With over 40 years experience in the catering industry, including 25 years owning a restaurant in his home country of Italy, Reno performed a revamp of the interior, garden and adjoining residential three-bedroom flat.

Tim Widdows, of property firm Christie & Co who is listing the restaurant, confirmed: “The sale of the lease after extensive works have been carried out is regrettable but necessary for personal family reasons.”

Reno and his wife have run the 50-cover restaurant for nine months.

Widdows add that the business would make the perfect investment, or a project for a husband and wife team to get stuck into.

He explained: “Its location also means it would meet the requirements of those seeking a lifestyle business.

“Although the business is currently being run as an Italian restaurant, its modern decor would lend itself to most sorts of operation, including a gastropub.”
