Manchester American-style diner up for sale

A 1950s-style American diner in Manchester’s popular Northern Quarter has been put up for sale for £500,000.

The Infamous Diner restaurant, which was launched in 2015 as Manchester’s first American diner, was put on the market by owners Mark Andrew Developments (MAD), the team behind hospitality ventures such as Walrus, Rosylee, and Hula.

The property is now listed on Christie & Co website for £500,000 with a 25-year lease starting from its opening date.

The diner will continue to trade as normal until it is sold, but that could be quite soon, with Christie saying it has had lots of interest from operators in the north-west.

"Mark Andrew Developments are looking to really concentrate on their wet-led offer, rather than the food offer," the agent said.

A representative for MAD said: "Infamous Diner has been a great asset to the MAD portfolio, it’s a successful business with a great location and fantastic, committed staff and we will continue to operate the restaurant as so until a suitable buyer is found. It is very much business as usual until then."
