North York Moors pub for sale

A pub in the North York Moors is up for sale after the current owners' circumstances changed.

The Blacksmiths Arms is a two-storey, stone-built detached pub near Pickering and, in addition to two bar areas, features a restaurant, 19 letting bedrooms, owners' accommodation and three and a half acres of land.

Ryan Lynn, who is handling the sale, told the York Press about the reasons behind the decision to sell: “Unfortunately, the current owners are unable to devote their full time and attention to it due to other business commitments. The Blacksmiths Arms already has a strong turnover, which has increased year on year, and there is the scope to increase it further. The business is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced operator.”

The property has an asking price of £145,000. It was refurbished back in September 2010 but has retained parts of the property that date back several centuries, as well as various other traditional features, such as log fires.
