Pub for sale in Broom

A pub in Broom, The White Horse, is up for sale as a freehold with offers invited in the region of £350,000.

The 18th Century pub is Grade 2 listed and enjoyed 20 years of continuous management by the same family. However, over the past two years it has traded under a temporary tenancy and the pub is now looking for a new owner to take it forward.

Within the building there is a front lobby that leads into a tiled bar area. Another front bar in two sections and a small servery can also be found, along with a carpeted dining area. There are two open fireplaces in the pub, offering a cosy ambiance to clientele.

Outside there is a small frontage and a car parking area, as well as a smoking shelter and a large covered area for outside dining. A four acre area of grass is also included in the sale; this is sometimes used to host weddings or for use by campers.

The sellers describe the pub as a “traditionally rendered and colour-washed construction under a red, clay-tiled roof, in an idyllic rural setting overlooking the village green”.
