A pub is up for sale in Seaford after decades in the same family, it has been revealed.
Reports confirmed that the Seven Sisters is on the market on a leasehold basis. It boasts a lounge bar, dining area, children's room and a public bar, as well as a separate function room, five bedrooms and a beer garden and play area outside.
Reports from the Eastbourne Herald stated that the pub has been in the Unden family since 1951 and the destination appears to have been popular with local patrons.
Current owner Peter Unden told the paper: "It's been a very good pub. It was initially a hotel which used to service the local prep schools. We had commercial reps stay here and people going across the Cross Channel before the roll on and roll off started."
He added that the most rewarding aspect of running the pub has been the friendship of customers, which has made up for the hard work involved.
However, Mr Unden believes that the way forward is to include food in the services on offer, which is something the next owners might want to take into consideration.
