A group of pubs around the country has been put on the market either for individual sale or as a group lot.
The administrators of the Pubs 'n' Bars group, which entered administration in December 2009, have put a total of 20 pubs up for sale, including four sites in London.
Simon Chaplin, director of Christie & Co, which is handling the sale on behalf of administrators Grant Thornton, commented: "The pubs are in good locations with the potential for excellent trading. Over the last year or so, we've seen a number of experienced operators return to the pub sector with acquisitions, as well as the rise of local and regional entrepreneurs.
"These 20 pubs are certain to arouse the interest of both experienced investors and those seeking to gain a foothold in the sector."
Grant Thornton, who were appointed to manage 87 sites on behalf of the Pubs 'n' Bars, have claimed that the group hit difficult times due to the smoking ban, along with the effects of reduced consumer spending in the wake of the recession.
