Small business leaders shortlisted in Yorkshire Business Masters Awards

The final decisions are being made regarding the winners of the Yorkshire Business Masters Awards after a panel has cut down applications to a shortlist.

Organised by TheBusinessDesk.com in association with Jaguar, the events aim to identify the top companies working in the region.

More than 75 entries were received but now there are just three contenders listed in each category, ready to be judged by readers of the online publication.

In the Yorkshire Ambassador category, sponsored by Deloitte, the contenders are Margaret Wood, ICW and Yorkshire chairman of the Institute of Directors; Andrew Burton, of the Viking Fund/Braveheart; and Nick Butler, from Connect Yorkshire and Connect Gazelles.

There are a number of other categories listed, including Yorkshire Pride, Yorkshire Innovator and Yorkshire Exporter. It is hoped that the awards will help to highlight the talent within the business world in Yorkshire.

TheBusinessWeek.com's readers will now vote on the final winners, who will then receive their awards at Aspire in Leeds on 21 June. Tickets for the event are available for £125 and can be purchased in pairs or tables of ten.
