A Wrexham pub is up for sale, with interest expected both from business buyers and those looking to take advantage of the planning consent that has been granted for the building's development.
The sale of the pub, The Commercial, which has been reported by Wrexham.com, could be of particular interest to property developers, although there does appear to be plans in place to keep the pub as it is. The pub is for sale for £195,000.
The planning permission that has been granted will entitle the purchaser to convert the first and second floors of the building into two one-bedroom flats and one two-bedroom flat.
Whether or not the buyer opts to launch into such major works, they are most likely going to find themselves with some work on their hands. According to the original planning application, the building is in need of renovation and a note suggests that if this is not undertaken then there is a risk the building will deteriorate and potentially become an eyesore in the town.
The sale comes shortly after an application was submitted to redevelop another former pub in the area and convert it into four one-bed, self-contained flats.
